Billy Bao "Dialectics Of Shit" (LP)
Parts Unknown is proud to present the first full-length offering from BILLY BAO. Born and raised on the unstable streets of Lagos, Nigeria before relocating to the alleyways of a then-recently freed Bilboa, Spain, BILLY BAO is a rough, dangerous, borderline example of society's woes turned against itself, of cultural repression made flesh, as it foments into a madness both gleeful and destructive. Touchpoints for this sound would include the nihilistic pummel of the BRAINBOMBS, the feral howl of early NIRVANA, and the aluminum baseball bat dunt of New Zealand post-punkers THE GORDONS, crossed up with an experimental fuckery akin to Japanese mentalists THE HANATARASH. Tracks bounce between left channel and right and skip audaciously in the grooves, but mainly serve to force perspectives, until every head is met eye to eye with his churning, bloodshot worldview.
cover
Wolfdowners "Wolf It Down" (LP)
Clevo does it again. Featuring members of the Inmates, Darovcets, Cider, and pretty much every other Cleveland band worth mentioning in the past 10 years, The Wolfdowners debut (and swansong) "Wolf It Down" is upon us. Fuzzy, noisy, groovy, and kinda hard to tie down, the WD's won't disappoint. I swear there is a song on here that Geza X must have written. Remember when the Dwarves used to be kinda a psych band? Remember when Man's Ruin used to be a label that could do no wrong? Well it's kinda like that but better. Full of weirdness, trippy guitar solo's, and overall madness. Like my good freind Kiko Bermudez sez, "It's not your Daddy's rock n' roll".
cover
Snake Apartment / Landed "Split" (7")
"Two weighty slugfests here, with all the charm of a sweaty, smelly butthole. Snake Apartment leave the riffs of their 12" behind and lay into a dirty dirge, getting more blown out and malformed as it rolls slowly along. Landed smashes a cockroach-nerve-stem warning rhythm, the fight or flight, between two slabs of greasy, lethargic sludge. Sounds like what the man on the killing floor's thinking. A real toilet clogger. Thumbs up!" (stolen from DustedMagazine.com)

Homostupids "The Intern" (CD/LP)
After two singles, Cleveland, Ohio's Homostupids give up their debut full length to the Parts Unknown empire. A perturbing stew of full-bore garage spew and psychedelic punkaroo, this disc will be the soundtrack to many losers' bad drug parties for centuries to come.

Violent Minds "Eyes Of Death" (LP)
After what seems like an eternity Violent Minds unleash there long awaited full length "Eyes Of Death". Picking up were the their two singles left off "Eyes Of Death" is 12 songs of pure adrenaline madness. Lyrics about nuclear holocaust, rioting, brutality, and seeing your own death, on top of a Motorhead, Poison Idea,Discharge and shredding solos soundtrack. Originally scheduled to come out on My War records, it's available for the first time now on Parts Unknown. Fans of early 80's USHC rejoice, this is not some cookie cutter BS.
cover
Snake Apartment "Paint The Walls" (12")
Snake Apartment let twelve gross inches of ugly, noisy punk slither out of Rhode Island. Heavy scuzz rock drenched in syrup puts on its studio shoes and has a loose night out on the town, sounding like a shelved Am Rep gem just dusted off and released to cumsumers. Here's a small glimmer of hope for middle aged losers who enjoy late Black Flag, Flipper, Brainbombs, Drunks With Guns, God Bullies, and TAD, and neo hipsters and indie label CEO's falling over themselves with glee over bands like Pissed Jeans, Clockcleaner, and Nirvana.
cover
Never Healed "s/t" (LP)
Featuring members of Look Back and Laugh and Lights Out, and hailing from the land of the Raiders and A's (aka Oakland, CA) comes Never Healed. Siege like vocals mixed with music falling somewhere between Citizens Arrest and Tragedy. A favorite around the Parts Unknown HQ, they also throw a sick live show. Throw on your THIZZ face and GO DUMB over this shit. Oh yeah and the singer was in Yaphet Kotto, yikes!
cover
Violent Minds "s/t" (CD)
This CD complies both the self-titled 7" on the now defunct My War records and the "Riot" 7" as well as "Hit List" from the Town Of Hardcore comp. Liner notes by the one and only Thousand Dollar Brian. Sick layout by the truly talented Ben West. As long time hardcore groupie and overall music historian Don Rettman put it (he got his leg broke at a Circle Jerks show in like '81 by a member of Autistic Behavior) "Pig Champion did not die in vain". I agree.
cover
Violent Students "s/t" (CD)
Eight tracks of brain throbbing annoyance that will draw the line in the sand between the real deal hardcore youth and all the other ironic moshers, noise losers, and various other butter users. Do you know The Brainbombs, The Fuckin' Flyin' A-Heads, The Sickness or Kilslug? Then you already know Violent Students. Best band from Philly since Circle Of Shit.
cover
Iron Boots "Weight of the World" (CD)
Funneling the energy and spirit of late 80's NYHC like Warzone, Murphy's Law and the Cro-Mags, there is an infectious spirit to this VB band like none other. This CD compiles the "Weight of the World" ep, the "Easy Green" ep and the soon to be legendary demo. Split release with Collapse Records.
cover
Cold Sweat "Blinded" (LP)
Every now and again there comes a band so focused and hellbent on putting cracks in the foundation that their sincerity and intent cannot be questioned. Black Flag did it in the mid 1980's, bands such as Born Against and Rorschach did it in the early 1990's and Cold Sweat are the current torchbearers of this sonic nihilism. Their music is manic, mean, and above all, intense; Their live shows -- a maelstrom of chaotic guitars, razor sharp percussion, and a frontman with all the characteristics and charisma of a frieght train about to swipe your head clean off; and with their songs alternating between full on thrash destruction and slow, pounding drone, all the while playing like a band of humans on fire, Cold Sweat are hardcore personified. Split release with Manic Ride Records.
cover
Pissed Jeans "Shallow" (CD/LP)
Pissed Jeans crawl out from under hardcore's seedy underbelly to blast out 8 tracks of droning punk noise. Calling to mind the warped visions of Fang, Flipper, and Stickmen With Rayguns, the Jeans point a dirty mirror at themselves, with fractured tales of woe in front of a harsh, blown-out backdrop. Recommended for people who never get out of bed, pop their zits with sweaty fingers and didn't have a date for the prom.
cover
Career Suicide "s/t" (LP)
Finally back in print! The debut LP by Toronto's Career Suicide originally released on Ugly Pop in limited quantities which sold out in a month. The comparisions to great hardcore bands such as the FU's, Gang Green, Angry Samoans, and the Germs seem to be non-stop and we're not going to disagree. Comes complete with an embossed cover and on 140 gram vinyl. Ripper!
cover
Riff Raff "Demo" (demo)
Riff Raff play fast old school New York Hardcore the way it should be. Often compared to Agnostic Front, Urban Waste and the Abused. Features members of Think I Care and Fit For Abuse.
cover
Drop Out "Demo" (demo)
Imagine a group of retarded alcoholics who drink too much coffee, rely on medical studies for income, and fondle themselves until the point of exhustion. Oh and they kinda sound like the Circle Jerks or something like that.
cover
Pissed Jeans "Night Minutes / Throbbing Organ" (7")
This two song single is a little teaser of things to come from these Lehigh Valley jaboes. Featuring various members of the Gatecrashers, Pissed Jeans is an all out assault on your ears, with their sound borrowed from the likes of Fang and Flipper. Don't be alarmed it's actually damn good and has won over even some of the worst critics. This could quite possibly be the best release ever on Parts Unknown. Expect an LP of wonders from these guys in the near to late future.
cover
Vile "Solution" (LP)
A limited edition repress of this notorious New England ripper. Limited to 500 copies on 180 gram vinyl. Also includes an insert with liner notes by lead singer and infamous lyricist, Bill Bile.
cover
S.B.V. "s/t" (7")
San Diego's S.B.V. deliver the goods on their debut 7", taking the best of old southern California bands like Uniform Choice, but leaving out the Hallmark card lyrics and poetry intros. Sick artwork by Jeff Gaither, who has worked with everyone from the Accused to Annihilation Time.
cover
Negative FX "Government War Plans" (LP)
This LP compiles all of the early NFX demo sessions which predate the lp. Rawer than the lp, these recordings showcase one of the best early 80's Boston HC bands in their infanancy. Includes a written history of NFX by the one and only king of soul reissues, and former drummer of NFX, Dave Bass. This is being co-released with Dave's label, Distortion Records.
cover
Violent Minds "Riot" (7")
3 song follow up to their debut on My War. "Riot" could go down in history as one of the greatest Oi! influenced HC songs of all time! Coupled with two b-sides that are out of control, this record will prove their is more to Toronto than SARS. Features members of Shark Attack and No Warning.
cover
YDI "Out for Blood" (CD)
Better than Eagles and on par with AI, YDI were the greatest HC band to ever come out of Philly. This cd compiles their insane "A Place in the Sun" 7", "Black Dust" LP, and their seldom heard and totally esstenial "Out For Blood" demo. His majesty Tesco Vee was nice enough to lend his awarding winning journalistic skills by writing the liner notes.
cover
Criminally Insane "s/t" (7")
This short lived Toronto band recorded this amazing demo, played one show, and then dissapeared into the Canadian wilderness. Featuring memebers of Fucked Up and No Warning, this one sided 7" is the vinyl version of their demo, remastered. Keep your eyes out for a 12" coming your way sometime in the next 5 years....
cover
The Worst "The Worst of .." (CD)
The Worst started terrorizing the Jersey Shore in the late 70's and didn't stop until the mid 80's. The first release on the highly acclaimed and collectable Mutha Records label, they also released a follow up 12" a few years later. While Chronic Sick seems to get all the attention, probably due to their lp being impossible to find, The Worst truely held the crown as the best shore core band ever. This CD compiles all of their recorded material - the 7", the "Expect the Worst" 12", the previously unreleased 2nd lp, and a set from Max's Kansas City which includes never before released songs. Liner notes by the one and only Dr Punk!!!
cover
The Gatecrashers "Are a Bunch of Motherfuckers" (LP)
Finally!! God knows how many years in the making, the debut full length from these Lehigh Valley yahoos finally sees a proper releases. Previously only available in an extremely limited "pre-release" version, we put aside our sneaker collecting and Ebay sniping habits to do a proper pressing. Fast hardcore. Lots of songs. They self reference bands like Deep Wound and Neos but it really sounds more a lot like Uniform Choice. Great record, great cover art, dig it.
cover
Moment Of Youth "s/t" (7")
This is a 6 song ripper from DC's Moment of Youth. Fast and raw some of these tracks could easily have been left off of "Flex Your Head." Great cover art by Jason Powell.
cover
Insurance Risk "No Pity" (7")
Brand new, 10 song 7" of unforgiving hardcore from Oslo, Norway taking extreme influence from SSD, DYS, Negative FX, and the rest of the '82 Boston Crew. No frills, no clever sideshows, no naive political tirades, just angry-as-fuck hardcore similar to having your teeth stomped out on a curb...by vikings.
cover
The Gatecrashers "Loud at Any Volume" (7")
The one that started it all. Little did Jason realize that when he released this record by his buddies that it was all going to be downhill from there!
